Pregnancy Diary

One of my goals in life was to have a Full-term, healthy, happy pregnancy. Since I may only be doing this one time,  I've decided to document the highlights...

WONDERFUL NEWS

I found out I was pregnant in the Wal-Mart bathroom with my sister.  I told Micah that afternoon, when he picked me up from work, in his red truck in the St. Bernard School parking lot.  (Well I showed him the test!) We were on our way to Christmas at my daddy's.  I remember what I was wearing and exactly what I was feeling.  I remember his face, I remember his reaction,  I even remember the weather. We spent that night at the bunkhouse and I kept looking at my belly in the mirror, in disbelief, I guess. It's the scariest, most amazingly happy day of my life <3

OFFICIAL!

Yepp, we're pregnant! had the appointment at the health unit today and got it confirmed!

I can't stop rubbing my belly and trying to imagine what my baby will look like. A lady at the health unit told me I was glowing :) This should be a fun journey.

ALREADY TIRED

Super hungry, but can't eat anything!

I'm always nauseated... Morning sickness? more like all day sickness... I work for a beforecare/aftercare system at a school in town and have to be there for 5:30 am (while they are begining to cook!) The smells make me so sick and the bathroom is allllll the way across the school... Hopefully, the morning sickness gets better! I'm already tired of being pregnant. haha

FIRST ULTRASOUND!

We finally got to see our little bean today! HE'S SO LITTLE! Everyone crammed in the little bitty room with me... It was magical, almost unreal... I think Micah finally realizes he's really about to be a Father. His face warmed my heart. The heartbeat was strong and my due date is set for August 28! Wow! Can't believe this! I can't wait! Also found out some news that I would share 2 years later...

AAH! PREGNANCY!

Nothing fits, my hair and skin are a mess, i even went get my nails done and still feel blah
 :( it'll get better, i'm sure! Too bad, it wasn't until my 3rd trimester, that I started embracing my pregnant look ... It was actually simple...

OH NO!

Just passed out in Wal-Mart... right on the register! Scared the heck out of the cashier! This baby is just sucking the life out of me... lol I already know he is going to be huge. Well, gotta make an appointment to see what the heck that was about!

DR VISIT

Anemic. I was put on iron supplements and told to stay off my feet, and not go anywhere alone :(

DR. APPOINTMENT

Heartbeat is still strong... Dr. Padgett hinted that he thinks it's a girl :o I kind of have a small feeling that it is going to be a girl. God help us! haha

IT'S A BOY!

We found out today! (EXACTLY 2 YEARS AFTER OUR FIRST KISS, how special is that?!) We can finally stop saying "it" and start saying "he." For some strange reason, I had a feeling it would be a girl, but I was wrong...  Hopefully it's not a sign of how my motherly instincts will work, haha!

Micah couldn't make it to the appointment. (The only one he didn't come to!)

At first I was upset, but then I realized that I got to tell him what it was!

I met him at a store for lunch and was going to say "IT'S A BOY!!!"

But I totally screwed it up and said "The nurse said HE has big feet!"

He smiled really big and said "It's a boy?!?" It was a priceless, very happy day! 

We're going to have a little ball of energy covered in dirt very soon!  Hurry up, baby boy Caffey!

FEELING LIFE!

I finally felt baby kick waiting in line at the Taco Bell in Broussard.  He kicked once for me, and once for daddy.  It was the strangest feeling in the world and it made me laugh out loud.  Micah's eyes lit up when he felt him.  GREAT NIGHT! We've been waiting for this seems like forever <3 (I guess he will like Taco Bell!) Strange,because literally the only thing I could eat from taco Bell when I was pregnant was a soft taco with only meat and cheese...

SHOPPING!

Bought our first baby stuff today! Found the cutest bassinet at the flea market,

white with blue teddy bears! I think we will do a pooh bear theme for baby boy's room :)

HELLO PREGNANCY BODY!

Bought my first pair of maternity pants today! had to save the last pair of shorts that fit...

XL pants haha I always said I was going to let loose when I got pregnant. I told everyone I was going to be barefoot and all belly for 9 months! Not looking forward to having to work off this baby weight!

CRAVINGS

God has blessed me with a wonderful man! 

He just ran to Pilot at midnight to get me some strawberry milk :) and he got ice cream too Thanks, baby! :D

MORE CRAVINGS

So, I know I'm driving Micah nuts but now I want Lucky Charms.

not all of it, just the marshmellows mmmm, they're magically delicious. The cashier was laughing at me when I told her I was craving the marshmallows. Maybe later, I'll have some watermelon and some swiss cheese slices!

PORK CHOP!

We bought the house with handicap bars on the tubs. never been so thankful in my life!

baby loves when I take a bath... he kicks and moves around like we're both swimming.

But it sure is hard for me to get out of the tub. My new nickname around here is Pork chop.

NAMED OUR ANGEL!

We wanted a name from the bible, Gabrieland a family name, David Micah's uncle Carl's middle name is David.and his little cousin (who is an angel now) was named Patrick David. Can't wait to meet you, GABRIEL <3

LAST ULTRASOUND!

Got to see our little man today! 

I LOVE the ultrasound visits...

she let us hear the heartbeat 

and he had the hiccups during the ultrasound.

I can't wait to meet him!

He's going to be so cute :))

WATER PARK!

What the heck am I doing?!?

We went to the water park today hahaha I'm ginormous! in a swim suit! in the heat! with an iron deficiency... Today was fun though. Won't be doing it again for a while!

Gabe kicked daddy in the face last night!!

We were listening to the fireworks and laying down, and Gabe just happened to kick so hard, and Micah's face just happened to be up against my belly! Take that, Daddy! mwahahaha!

BABY SHOWER!

Had my shower today! Everyone I love was there!

Micah made the cutest little baby carriage made out of watermelon...
I loved it! We got a ton of gifts for baby! Such a great day!

HICCUPS!

Gabe has the hiccups! Funniest feeling in the world...

Mom asked me today, "you've never felt his hiccups?" and it clicked! That's what those little spasm attacks are! sha my love!

SEAHORSE!
We bought Gabriel a singing seahorse! It plays classical music.

Micah is going to hold it by my belly and let it sing every night...

That way, Gabe will have something familiar when he gets here!

WAITING ON LIL MAN

Today, 

Talia went into Gabriel's room,  

folded a blankie, 

and placed it in his crib. 

She looked at me and said 

"He can come out now. 

Everyone wants to see him." 

She melted my heart.

THIS IS THE MONTH!

He's coming... Ready or not!

I still can't believe I'm about to have a baby!  I keep sitting in the baby room and wanting to hold him, wanting to rock him... We've got everything we could need to welcome him home now. Just missing baby! It's going to change our lives!  I hope he's healthy and wonderful!  I can't hardly wait anymore...  Hurry up Gabriel!

I found cotton candy ice cream in the quart today! It's no gallon, but it will have to do! Now, I can leave the ladies at the snowball stand alone! hehe :D

ANOTHER TEASE!

Went to the doctor today hoping for some progress and I'm still stalled!

Come on, Gabe! I wish they never would've told me I was dilated at all...

NOW WE WAIT! Everybody is waiting for you, and mommy can hardly walk anymore!

hahaha my feet are swollen like balloons.

I'm walking every afternoon to try and push him down, but I guess he will come when he is ready!

I'M READY!!!

Went to the job fair with my mom and sister today,  then went walk around Wal-Mart to try and push the baby down!  Hurry up Gabe!!!

Losing my kicking,
