Our Reflection

As each day passes, I see more of us (me and Micah) in Gabriel. Not so much in the facial features, but in the little things he does... or the little sounds he makes... even the music and the movies he likes.
My favorite character was Buzz from Toy Story:

For real, I had the beach towel and everything.Then, Gabe comes along and chooses this guy as his first favorite toy ever:

He chose "Rex" from Toy Story... before he had ever seen the movie.
Also, when I was little, I always got in trouble for licking the icing off of the cinnamon rolls. Look at what Gabriel discovered over the weekend:

I can't even fuss, because I know how much I loved to do it!
Micah and I like totally different types of music. He always tried to force Beck's music on me, but I wasn't having it, well look at the first song Gabe chose to dance to:
BECK. Go figure.
He also sleeps the exact same way as Micah...

They put the same arm behind the head and everything.

I love catching glimpses of the little things in Gabriel that remind me of Micah and myself. It makes my heart smile. I guess part of being a mommy is passing these little things on, right?
