Ch Ch Changes

I probably won't be posting for a while because my laptop is giving me crap to work with . I'm hoping to have a new one by Sunday. Leaning toward a MAC (changes scare me)... just what we need right now.  Anyway, we had to sell Ole Red during the week. Big loss, considering it's just a vehicle.
Micah took me on my first date in this truck. It was an old, beat-up, work truck. Nothing worked right in it. It was proof that I was getting into a relationship with a hard working man. I could hear him coming from down the road when he came to visit.

I told him I was pregnant in that truck. Craziest day ever, haha! We did the beginning of the baby shopping in that truck. During my sixth month of pregnancy, we hit an amazing deal on a mini van. We bought it without question and Ole Red became strictly a work truck. The mini van died right after lil Gabe was born. ON THE INTERSTATE. He wasn't in it, thank goodness! So, then we bought a jeep that could handle our lifestyle.

Ole Red's transmission started giving us trouble a few months later. Had it worked on a few times, then just couldn't afford it anymore. She sat outside for a while before we finally decided we did not need 2 insurance notes.  We sold her on May 14, 2012.
just like she was...
When we first started dating, I wrote my name on the dash. I was insanely jealous, apparently, and wanted everyone to know he was mine. Well, it stayed there for 3 years <3 We left it there when we sold it. It's supposed to say Peace Love and Happiness... but it sure does look like the Mercedes sign. I remember him laughing at me when I drew it wrong.

Micah sure got his money's worth out of that truck, though! I hope the new owners take good care of her and give her the attention she needs! This reminded me of all the changes we've made since Gabe got here. We changed EVERYTHING.
Micah shaved his beard. it itches Gabe's face.
I cut my nails short. I kept accidentally scratching :(
We replaced the horror movie collection with cartoons.
We switched sides in the bed (something we swore we would never do,haha!)
We download edited music, now.
We spend a lot of time in the book store... we want him to love to read.

Everything that we changed made us better people.
Micah loves to read now... even bought him some reading glasses!
We wouldn't have it any other way, obviously. We're ten times happier now than we've ever been. We're going to miss Ole Red, though! Gabriel never actually got to ride in the truck. No room for his seat.
If ever we get another vehicle, we both agreed to look for one just like Ole Red :)
